Owner Alfonso Colli has plenty of experience in bringing delicious food to the table with his earlier Food, Coffee & Art Lounge “Chicchi” in East London.

The contemporary but cosy atmosphere at large in this coffee & snack bar has hit the right notes with a remarkable number of people, all drawn by the fragrance of their specialty coffees and promise of a delicious repast.

Already into its third year of trading, Italianissimo has scooped the prestigious award of ‘Best Independent Trader’ two years running, not to mention being finalist in several other categories as well.

Alfonso has worked in the catering industry for the past 20 or so years, covering a wide spectrum of cuisines. The bulk of his experience has been mainly in the Italian, French, Japanese & Chinese industry, also working for the prestigious Etrusca Group of restaurants where he worked for over ten years as a restaurant manager.

Alfonso’s ‘dream’ had always been to create a place that was somewhere between a coffee shop and a restaurant. A place where you could sample food at its best, without worrying about paying top end prices.
